I want to return my vehicle before the scheduled date. Is there a penalty charge?
Enterprise does not charge our customers for returning a vehicle before the scheduled date and you will only be charged for the days you have had the vehicle (not including pre-paid reservations). If the office is closed when you attempt to return the vehicle or if you attempt to return the vehicle to a different location, the following policy will apply:
Can I return my car hire vehicle if the Enterprise office is closed?
Airport offices
- Here you can return your vehicle outside opening hours and you will be provided with the best possible facilities for the collection or return of your vehicle. Please check with your car hire office when collecting your vehicle for the specific procedure.
- Note: the vehicle must be returned to the same location where it was collected unless otherwise arranged in advance with the original car hire office.
- If you leave your car hire vehicle at the airport, but you did not originally collect your vehicle at this location, you may face an additional charge.
Urban offices
- Car hire vehicles must be returned during branch opening hours.
- If you wish to return a vehicle when the office is closed, please check with the office staff when collecting your vehicle if there is a key return mailbox to use outside of office opening hours. This will help you avoid additional charges.
Note: vehicles returned outside opening hours will not be inspected until the next business day. If you return your vehicle outside opening hours when the office is closed, you will be responsible for the car hire vehicle until it has been successfully inspected the next business day.
