What is the congestion charge in London?

In central London, the city has imposed a congestion charge scheme which is payable daily, for any day that a vehicle moves within the zone between 07:00 and 22:00, except Christmas day (25/12). No charge is payable for vehicles, if they are parked for a full day(s) within the zone.

If you collect your car from within the zone, you will need to pay £15 per day for the congestion charge. Payments can be made via phone on 0845 9001234 or online at www.cclondon.com. Enterprise can also add it to your rental agreement for the first and last day of your car hire at a charge of £20 per day. Any other days in between need to be paid by the renter. 

If you wish to use this option please let us know upon pick-up of your vehicle. For vehicles hired outside the zone or for additional days within the zone, the renter can prepay the daily charge via phone or online

Note: The City of London assesses a penalty for non-payment, which is billed to Enterprise. In order to staff and process these penalties, Enterprise charges an administrative fee for handling payment of the penalty.
